Whether its making more time for sleep by turning in earlier or sleeping in later, taking time to meditate, visualize or pray, improving your diet by eliminating or adding foods, engaging in physical activity, or enjoying more time in nature your body will immediately adapt to the changes and move towards a healthier happier you.
When you allow more time for sleep, you feel refreshed with more energy your immune system is boosted and your well-being is improved; when you allow your mind to creatively visualize your brain actually creates a new filter selecting for stimulus that support that new filter assisting you in the manifestation of that visualization; when you improve your diet, your body immediately responds to the changes and you benefit from any number of a myriad of physiological adaptations that may occur, whether it is to absorb more nutrients or release accumulated toxins or decrease cholesterol or blood pressure, and more; when you are more physical, your body immediately responds to the resistance and begins the process of strengthening whether its increasing bone density, muscle mass, or improving circulation and decreasing the heart rate or toning up or trimming down, when you spend more time in nature your internal body clock resets itself bringing earlier retiring and rising times and more rejuvenating sleep patterns.
No matter what you do and no matter how small the change may be, your body immediately responds and begins to change. A small change for the better every day can lead to big changes at the end of a week, a month or a year.
Imagine the difference a year out from today if you did something simple to improve your life. Imagine if every day you slept an extra fifteen minutes, woke up saying ‘Thank you’ and ‘I love you’ and visualized yourself feeling at peace or succeeding at accomplishing a goal, drank one more quart of water, eliminated one item from your diet you know isn’t contributing to good health, ate a salad and steamed veggies for dinner, started your day with a fresh fruit smoothie, chose one day per week to eat all fresh ripe fruits and vegetables and/or did sit-ups, squats or push ups every morning before leaving the house, or perhaps began simply sitting under a tree for five minutes a day, lying in the soft morning sun, taking a walk in nature, or meditating outside in the caress of a gentle breeze.
Can you see it? Can you see the changes already happening within your energy system, within your psyche and even within your physical body by just entertaining the concept of
small changes every day lead to big changes over time.
If you are not feeling as good as you like, why wait? Stop putting it off. Next thing you know a week, a month, or a year will go by and nothing will be different or you may be feeling even less inspired. Start today. Even in one day, you will feel better just having done something better, even its just one small thing, for you. Try it and see for yourself. Inspire yourself by doing just one truly good thing for you today. I will too!
