Eat Your Fruits and Veggies
While doctors have their personal habits every bit as much as anyone, I have never met a single doctor that does not agree with this sound advice. It is no wonder when you consider that fruits are the best source of vitamins and vegetables are the best source of minerals. Clearly superior sources of nutrients, its reasonable to deduce that when eating anything else nutrient intake is compromised by the simple fact that if one eats more of something else, they automatically consume less fruits and vegetables. Fruits and vegetables provide all of the micro-nutrients (vitamins and minerals) and all of the macro-nutrients (protein, fat, carbohydrates) too. Rich in nutrition, easy to digest and metabolize, fruits and vegetables are ideal forms of fuel for your body. Not only do they help fight dis-ease, they are known to lower cholesterol, improve memory, enhance your body’s defense function, elevate mood, increase vitality and more. Is it any wonder that many of the top world athletes, including Olympians, train with a diet consisting of all plant-based foods? If you want your body to deliver peak performance for life, then eat your fruits and veggies,
the ‘feel good’ food.
