A Fall favorite
While waldorf salad is traditionally prepared with walnuts. I prefer pecans as raw walnuts contain liver flukes. Here is my raw rendition of the recipe:
1 chopped fresh ripe organic apple – I prefer Fuji but any crisp sweet apple will do
4 chopped sticks of organic celery
1/8 cup chopped raw organic pecans
1 wedge of fresh organic lemon – I prefer Meyer lemon if available
1 dash nutmeg powder or to taste
4 dashes Ceylon cinnamon powder or to taste
Optional: Stir in 1 tablespoon organic coconut yogurt as a dressing (personally this is not my preference but I know others love it)
Mix all ingredients together and enjoy. An amazing accompaniment to any meal.
