Super Delish!
Ingredients:
2 handfuls of tender baby spinach (washed)
1 small carrot (cut in chunks) or four baby carrots
1/2 apple (sliced)
Wedge of peeled lemon
3 peeled tangerines
3 slices of yellow squash (unpeeled)
1/4″ of peeled ginger
6-10 ice cubes
Add water to desired consistency
Directions:
Blend in VitaMixer or other high powred blender (i.e. BlendTec or Ninja) until smooth. Pour and enjoy!
Yields two 12-ounce glasses
Tip:
Raw green smoothies may be best enjoyed before a cooked meal. The live enzymes assist in the digestion of cooked and/or prepared food. Green smoothies are also great in the evening as they are lower in sugar content than fruit smoothies and are full of vital minerals essential for healthy immune system and cell functioning aiding in a number of functions including sleep.
