A family favorite
These wonderful wraps hold together amazingly well and are simple to make with 100% raw organic goodness: pure love for the taste buds and for the body too.
What You Will Need:
High Speed Blender like a VitaMix
(only use a high powered blender
or you risk burning the motor)
Dehydrator with at least six trays
(ideally an Excalibur).
Non-stick or paraflexx dehydrator sheets.
Raw Organic Ingredients:
1 1/4 cups raw golden flax seed
4 cups grated carrots
18 pitted dates
3/4 cup purified filtered water
6 ice cubes
Directions:
Pour flax seeds into a small bowl.
Lightly mix in 1/2 cup of water to moisten seeds.
Set aside for 20 minutes.
While the seeds are gelling, grate the carrots with
a grater or food processor.
Pit the dates.
Pre-heat a dehydrator to 115° F.
Place nonstick paraflexx dehydrator sheets on the dehydrator trays.
Once the seeds are gelled, pour the remaining 1/4 cup of water followed by all
other ingredients in a VitaMix or a high speed blender.
Blend until smooth (you may pause the blender; stir as needed as this will be thick).
Spread the mixture into large circular rounds, one or two to a sheet.
Be sure the mixture is even and as thick at the edges as it is in the center
or the edges will be brittle.
Use a knife to level the wrap.
Dehydrate at 115 for three hours. Check for stickiness. When not sticky underneath,
flip the wrap using another lined tray to support the wrap and keep it flat.
Cover the wrap with a mesh tray bottom to keep edges from curling up.
Dehydrate at 115 for another three hours.
When no longer sticky and it feels slightly firm, it is ready to remove.
Yields: 8 – 10 wraps
