Even when a storm is brewing outside,
you can remain centered on the inside.
A client asked, “How do you stay so vitalized?” Stress, trauma, health and family issues have all played a role in helping me find my key to balance. It has been an evolution and at times a steeper learning curve than others; in the end, success.
Here are my secrets to good physical, emotional and mental health and overall serenity:
– Daily cellular cleanse: just as I don’t hesitate to take a shower everyday to rinse off salt, sweat or dirt that accumulates on my skin nor do I hesitate to internally cleanse to release debris that accumulates on the inside of my body in the way of pesticides, herbicides, chemicals, and heavy metals that are in the food, air and water. – Daily supergreens: a nutritional gap filler, getting daily vitamins and minerals from certified organic whole foods supercharges my mood, energy and immunity. Get yours.
– Daily movement: yoga, gentle stretch, sit-ups, squats, push-ups, tai chi, whatever I have time for, I do something everyday. Learn more about private yoga offerings.
– Daily breath work: twice to three times each day, I engage in mindful deep breathing to deliver oxygen to every cell of my body creating an alkaline environment where disease cannot survive. To learn more or get started, click here.
– Positive self talk: I spend at least a few minutes every day being my own cheerleader setting an intention for my day and for my life.
-Mindful silence where I simply am. Let’s meditate.
– Time in nature. Research has shown that in nature, the brain will demonstrate the same rhythm that is achieved with deep meditation. I spend time in nature as often as my time allows, even if its taking five minutes to sit, bask, appreciate and feel the elements on my skin.
– Daily gratitude while setting an intention for the day recruiting the Universe as my ally which supports me 100% of the time (often done in conjunction with my daily Reiki self treatment and reverence for the Five Principles of Reiki). Gain insight.

With all of these in place, I sleep like a baby, my immune system is robust, I feel energized and upbeat. The tests of these past couple of years has led me to my essential daily self care regime that delivers results. It’s not situations or circumstances that are good or bad but the reaction to them can be.
My daily practice allows me to stay steady and centered on the inside regardless of what might be occurring externally. Now I know the meaning of true freedom, to be calm, storm or not.
