In Hawaii while we refer to the wise elder as “kapuna,” the youthful child is referred to as “keiki.” Just as Reiki is helpful for adults regardless of their age or weight, it too is beneficial for keiki of any age or size, from infants to teenagers. Reiki is supportive for everyone.
Our modern keiki are growing up in a very different environment than did we. Our children deal with a vast array of stressors. While many are unseen from the electromagnetic fields of devices to multiple vaccinations to an exponential increase in invisible chemicals that are present in the food, none of these are benign. Not only are these unseen forces at work but seen forces also challenge our keiki. Our children have more responsibility and accountability, must cope with social media and sometimes bullying, demands of school, peer pressure and the expectations of family. The new normal for children is a very different picture than that of only a generation ago.
Infants, toddlers, children and teenagers are especially sensitive to Reiki. With the energy system aligned, the body is restored to balance. As the spirit harmonizes with the emotional, mental and physical aspects, blocked energy (chi, qi, mana) is released and depleted mana is restored. Immunity, sleep, motivation, energy, performance, outlook, cooperation, grades are all subject to improve. Appointments for keiki may include a consultation or may simply be a straight Reiki treatment. If you would like to discuss the specific needs of your keiki, please call LaRen directly at 808-987-6010. Treatments are offered remotely or a hands-on treatment can be scheduled in either the Kona office or in the Kapa’au office. To schedule a treatment for your keiki, please book here.
