With grapefruit in season, it is the perfect time for juice. I prefer blending the whole fruit (minus the skin) to juicing to retain all of the nutrients, fiber, calories and flavor. Add a twinge of peeled fresh ginger and you’ve got a refreshing drink anyone will enjoy.
Super hydrating and good for the immune system, grapefruit is loaded with vitamin C, an important antioxidant. The darker the flesh of the fruit, the more the antioxidants. Ginger contains many medicinal properties and like grapefruit is thought to be good for weight loss and helps to lower blood sugar. Ginger is also good for digestion and to fight infections, This immune boosting, body cleansing juice is also a great palette cleanser enjoyable any time of day.
