May all beings have happiness and the causes of happiness.
May all beings be free from suffering and the causes of suffering.
May all beings rejoice in the well-being of others.
May all beings live in peace, free from greed and hatred.

A Buddhist secondary prayer, the Four Immeasurables hold a key for contentment. “Everyone wants to be happy, but happiness cannot be achieved in isolation. The happiness of one depends upon the happiness of all and the happiness of all depends upon the happiness of one. This is because all life is interdependent. In order to be happy, one needs to cultivate wholesome attitudes towards others in society and towards all sentient beings.”

The first immeasurable is loving kindness, followed by compassion, appreciative joy, and equanimity. To practice these tenants in our daily lives brings true contentment in unity with ALL. May we all come together to raise the vibration of the collective consciousness. Reach out to your friends and neighbors, your loved ones. Wish well for all of humanity. Wish your enemies well for when each individual is content the collective is also content. When one individual is relieved of suffering, so is another. May you be well and may all be well as we unite together in LOVING consciousness.
