Did you know?
Whether you are growing,
fruits, vegetables or ornamentals,
copper and brass gardening tools
can increase yields by 40 -50%.
Copper is essential for plant growth and has been used in the garden dating back to 5,000 B.C. Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc giving it a more yellow or golden appearance. Both renowned for their electrical conductivity properties, it was Viktor Schauberger who discovered that if brass was paired with electro culture harnessing the earth’s magnetism, crop production would increase by as much as 50% without the use of pesticides and fertilizers. This was the secret of how people were able to grow 200 pound pumpkins or 50 pound cabbages.
Copper increases soil fertility. When copper tools are used in the garden, they leave behind minute atoms of copper in the soil replenishing lost nutrients from chemical agriculture while providing protection from fungi and bacteria. (Copper is one of the primary ingredients in fungicides and as a side note is extremely effective in use for filtration systems due to its antibacterial nature.) Copper has the added advantage of being a natural snail and slug repellent while being a friend to important pollinators like bees. With the biostatic and antimicrobial properties of copper, equally impressive is that it is capable of killing waterborne pathogens like legionella bacteria (Legionnaires disease) and e. coli. Bacteria simply cannot grow on copper which is why copper and copper alloy doorknobs like bronze or brass are used to help protect against the spread of disease.
Besides the growing benefits, brass and copper are incredibly durable, strong and never rust or corrode. Gardeners often prefer their heaviness as well as compared to other garden tools. Copper and brass tools are easy to clean with a solution of lemon and salt that will keep them shiny when they are not in use. Switch to copper and brass garden tools to improve the productivity of your garden and the quality of your food.
