“I believe the greatest gift
you can give your family
and the world is
a healthy you!”
-Joyce Meyer
When we are healthy, we generally feel good. When we feel good, it is naturally easy to be friendly. Our good vibrations affect how others feel too. In this way we affect not only family, friends but the world as a whole. The world needs more people that are healthy.
Health is multifaceted. Spiritual health is every bit as important as mental, emotional and physical health. Do the things that make you feel good inside and out and that feed every aspect of your being. You might enjoy activity and relaxing after, consuming fresh foods that raise your vibration, hanging out with people that inspire you, reading books that uplift you, contemplating a candle flame or sitting quietly in nature, practicing positive self talk, re-writing your personal story as you would like it to be, visualizing your dreams, or setting goals and taking steps to accomplish them. You might treat yourself to a massage or explore a community class in art, yoga, music, poetry, and more.
You know the areas of your life that might be embellished for a healthier happier version of you. It is up to you. While we all have our limits, ultimately we decide if those limitations are restrictions or liberties. Some of the most inspiring and active people I have met in my life have been bound to wheelchairs. During my internship at the VA Hospital, I was absolutely amazed by what a good life many veterans gave themselves in spite of being paralyzed. While it was no doubt a journey, I witnessed triumph more often than not. I saw physically crippled veterans discovering new wonder, engaging in adventure, socializing with the community and committed to friendships. When I made inquiry to one of the P.T. patients, he said, ” I can stay angry and be miserable the rest of my life or I can live. What would you choose?”
How you live your life is up to you. Your good health is a gift you choose to give yourself. If you are not healthy on any level – physically, emotionally, mentally, or spiritually you are likely not happy. You are an amazing being and you deserve to be healthy and happy. Ask yourself, “Am I healthy? Am I happy?” If either answer is no, ask yourself, “What would make me healthy or happy?,” then go do or be that.
The world needs more healthy happy people. Be one of them.
